The São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Science Diplomacy and Innovation Diplomacy (InnSciD SP), supported by the São Paulo School of Advanced Science Program at FAPESP (http://espca.fapesp.br) and organized by the Institute of International Relations (IRI-USP), will take place from 21 to 30 August 2019 at the University of São Paulo, in Brazil.

Important dates:

  • Beginning of the registration period: April 20, 2019
  • Closing of the registration period: May 5, 2019
  • Announcement of the students selected to participate: May 15, 2019

Support and Selection Process:

The school will fully fund the flights (Economy Class) and accommodation (standard and shared rooms) for all participants thanks to a grant from FAPESP (this does not, however, apply to students currently in Brazil receiving a FAPESP scholarship or those who live in the Greater São Paulo metropolitan area). Other expenses (costs of processing visas, or eventual vaccination procedures for traveling to Brazil) will not be covered by InnSciD SP.

There are 40 vacancies for international participants and 40 vacancies for participants from Brazil. The main target audience for the school are students
enrolled in Master’s, doctoral or postdoctoral programs and who have interest in the school’s topics. When presented with multiple candidates of similar abilities, we willaim to diversify/balance the group of students on the basis of gender and
geographic origin.

Participant selection will be conducted by members of the InnSciD SP Executive Committee on the basis of the information submitted online for registration.
